Rachel Viscomi, Acting Director and Clinical Instructor for the Harvard Negotiation & Mediation Clinical Program, demonstrates in an exclusive webinar for NET Fellows how to use popular film clips to illustrate and explore negotiation concepts

PATHWAYS was pleased to host Rachel Viscomi for the second webinar in its inaugural series of Negotiation Education Master Classes organized exclusively for Fellows in its Negotiation Education Teachers (NET) Fellowship.

Rachel Viscomi is the Acting Director and Clinical Instructor for the Harvard Negotiation & Mediation Clinical Program (HNMCP).

In the interactive webinar, Rachel shared with participants background on her work with the HNMCP and then guided Fellows through an interactive session exploring how to use clips from popular films (e.g. Money Ball, Silver Lining Playbook, Meet the Parents, The Social Network, True Grit) to illustrate and examine concepts of problem-solving negotiation with students in the classroom.

Discussions followed each illustrative clip, modeling how to engage students with open-ended questions and then jointly investigating their observations and reactions to what was effective and not effective in what they saw in the clips.
